Hi everybody! This time we want to talk about something very special which sometimes can become a little slippery, but once you have it you just become unstoppable in every way. I am talking about inspiration!

But what is the inspiration? Where do you find some of it? Well, let´s begin from the beginning! I will put it this way:

Inspiration is the action or power of moving the intellect or the emotions so your hands can create or express your feelings and thoughts.

Because once you get some inspiration, no matter if it comes from inside of you or if you find it in some element of the environment, you can express yourself by actually making something unique and with your own hands.

Some people like to talk about creativity and I think that is ok, but I truly believe that inspiration is the key to creation. For me, inspiration is like the mother of creativity, because when something “moves” your emotion you get enough creativity to create anything!

Let me ask you something… Have you ever felt happy by just watching a colorful flower? Have you ever wanted to wear rainbow colors in your clothes? Didn´t you want to do something fun with those geometric shapes your teacher thought you at school? Haven´t you ever seen a piece of fabric and wanted to make “something” out of it?

Those feelings and desires are the beginning of feeling inspired! That voice inside of you that makes you create thoughts that you want to see come into real things to wear, to use, to share with others.

One of the things that inspire me the most, and also inspire mi clients, is the fabric. Fabrics, fabrics, fabrics! I specially love the Peruvian ones! That is the reason why I decided to open my own fabric store. When I see a beautiful and unique fabric handmade by these amazing Peruvian women, who are just like me, I feel really inspired to create anything: shoes, clothes, home decor pieces, scarves, accessories,…, the sky is the limit!
